This blog is about encouraging one another in honest motherhood and celebrating the everyday, as we build strong families and full lives. We aim to build community through ideas, stories and experience. We seek to reach new levels of wellness for ourselves and our families, with natural living and essential oils.
My name is Angela Dodd, and I am a wife, mother, and entrepreneur. I am enthusiastic about building a loving family and creating a beautiful life and home. Some of my favorite things are traveling, organizing, decorating, good food and the great outdoors.
One of my longest-held dreams has come true, and I currently spend the majority of my time with my two-year-old son at home, while I pursue several small business ventures (in Rawka Family Essential Oils and Rawka Vapor Restoration). Every day, I am learning something about my son, about myself and about how to live this life better. Mothering is the most challenging and amazing thing I have been blessed to do every day. I am learning how to juggle life as a work-at-home mom while trying also to be fully present for my family, and it is no small challenge.
This blog exists to encourage moms and families to live their best life, to seek the best in everyday life, and to love their families well. We share stories and ideas and feature products that we love to support your efforts at living a beautiful and full life. Motherhood is a wild ride, and it’s better when we share it together.
I finally found the love of my life in 2011 (more about that here), and we were married outdoors on an extremely windy May afternoon in 2013 (here’s a little feature on that from the Budget Savvy Bride). My husband and I have hearts that fit like puzzle pieces, with different and complimentary gifts in life. He makes my life full and fun. We are passionate about pressing on through the inevitable challenges of marriage and making our life together the best that it can be.
My husband + my son + me = Rawka Family.
“Rawka” is our family brand. It’s about enjoying life, it’s about being free, it’s about loving others. You know the saying “feeling irie”? (Look up some reggae music and you’ll see what I mean.) You would say you’re feeling irie when everything is alright, you’re feeling good, with no worries. Well, “rawka” is feeling that you want to spread that goodness around to others.
Irie for the world. Rawka. Family.
I am finding my way through this life one day at at time. Let’s share in our adventures and learn together.
